JAzzNESS: A NES Classic Jazz Tribute
Andrew Allen is back, with a brand new album paying tribute to some of the most iconic soundtracks in (NES) Video Game history. The games on the NES Classic will be our selection for this year's Coverville Records release. That means that the CD will have over 30 arrangements produced and recorded by Andrew Allen; the biggest track list in Coverville Records history.
Live! From The Cantina: A Star Wars Jazz Tribute (2015)
Following the success Andrew's previous albums, we've always had plans to do a Star Wars album somewhere in the lineup. Star Wars fever has broken out, and the time for this album couldn't be better. Whether it's the fanfare of the theme, the longing melodies of "Han Solo and the Princess", the excitement of "Duel of the Fates", or the foreboding danger of "The Imperial March", these songs have become as important to the films as the stories and characters.
The Andrew Allen Trio is following up successful Star Trek and video game cover albums with covers of the music of Marvel & DC comics!
The DC album is fully arranged by Andrew Allen, and will be stylized after his favorite jazz artist, Horace Silver. Expect a culmination of sounds based from jazz in the 1940s and 50s.
The MARVEL album is also fully arranged by Andrew Allen, and will be a mixture of sounds based off of jazz, rock, funk, soul, and Hip Hop.
“Free Play” is the second installment of contemporary jazz covers from Andrew Allen and Coverville Records. The album will feature Andrew’s arrangements of popular video game themes throughout history. This record is the second release of indie label Coverville Records, run by legendary podcaster and music connoisseur Brian Ibbott.
